What a complete door system actually includes
Most door quotations are for a shutter. Here is what the other two components are, and what it costs to buy them separately.

Ask for a door price and you will almost always be quoted a shutter — the leaf that swings. The frame it hangs in and the architrave that covers the junction between frame and wall are separate purchases, from separate suppliers, on separate lead times.
That is the market convention, and it is the reason so many finished openings look almost right.
The three components
A Doorzzen wooden door is delivered as all three, engineered and finished to match.
The shutter is 32–60 mm thick, 600–1200 mm wide and up to 3000 mm high, built on a rail-and-stile framework in solid timber or LVL.
The frame is LVL or solid timber — Beech, Meranti or Teak Pine — 40–60 mm thick and 100–300 mm wide, finished to match the shutter rather than merely finished.
The architrave is exterior-grade MDF, 8–18 mm thick and 30–70 mm wide, available as an L-profile or a flat profile, wrapped or finished to coordinate with the other two.
What separate procurement costs
Published rates for the Kochi market give a sense of the components that sit on top of a shutter price: a door frame at ₹2,100–3,675, fitting at ₹1,050–2,625, and a hardware set at ₹1,260–2,625 — supply-only and excluding GST.
That is roughly ₹4,400–8,900 per opening, spread across three or four suppliers. Those are published market rates for separately procured components, not Doorzzen prices.
The cost that is not on the invoice
The line items are the smaller half of the problem. The larger half is coordination: three delivery dates to align, three sets of tolerances to reconcile, and no single party accountable when the veneer on the frame does not match the veneer on the shutter.
On a four-opening house that is an irritation. On a four-hundred-opening development it is a programme risk with a cost attached.
What the integrated approach produces
The catalogue states four outcomes, and each one is a direct consequence of the three components being made to one drawing: perfect alignment and finishing, superior structural strength, faster and cleaner installation, and long-lasting performance across every project.
The last of those is the one that compounds. Matched materials move together through a humid season. Mismatched ones do not, and the gap shows up at the architrave first.

We will send physical finish samples plus an edge or section sample, so you can judge the surface and the banding rather than take a page’s word for it.
Common questions
- Can I buy just the shutter?
- The range is built and warranted as a system, because the eleven-year structural warranty covers the door system rather than a single component. Talk to us about the specific opening and we will tell you honestly whether we are the right supplier for it.
- Does the system include hardware?
- Hardware appears in the company name but is not covered by the supplied 2026 catalogue. Ask us directly about hardware for a specific project rather than assuming either way.
